Louie Simmons: A master class in the correct technique for the Bench Press.

I just got this from world class Powerlifter A.J. Roberts, a master class in bench press technique. The fine points that can make all the difference. I know that I was benching wrong for over 20 years. I blew out my left shoulder twice doing heavy inclines and then once doing dumbell shoulder press, and my right shoulder once going for a 1 rep max in the flat bench. As soon as I was instructed to bench correctly my weights shot up and the constant pain in my Acromio-clavicular joint disapeared.
Louie Simmons has coached 30 athletes to to bench over 700lb/318kg or 50 stones plus. So he knows what he is talking about. Also see Travis Bell (Black shirt on bench) and A.J. himself (blue shirt) giving small aswell, this is well worth the investment in time. Plus it could help you to bring up your strength and avoid injuries like mine!!

Just copy and past the link into your browser, the link offers several ways to view this footage. I tried windows media and it took too long to load. Quick time on the other hand was almost instant.

For a better idea of what the Westside barbell Club and Simmonds are all about check out the Westside book of methods:
